Can’t fault you for not knowing his name. Every role he took he immersed himself into. Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff and Vincent Price are often cited as incredible actors especially renown for their work in early horror classics. Christopher Lee was not far behind.
Unlike his counterparts he also possessed the ability to transcend genre and played almost everything from a Bond baddie (“The Man with the Golden Gun”) to an evil white wizard (Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy).
At 93 he lived a long and highly memorable life. Though gone his work will long live on.
