Lauryn Hill is undeniably a gifted and troubled soul. Several rumours have circulated of her return to music since her seminal album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” was released in 1998. So far none of those rumours have been materialised, at least not in the form of another LP.
Now in 2015 we finally get some new studio music from Lauryn Hill on the Nina Simone tribute album “Nina Revisited”. Listen to her cover of “Black is the Colour of My True Love’s Hair” on alcaTsar blog.
A host of other talented artists appear on the compilation including Usher, Jazmine Sullivan, rapper Common and Mary J. Blige. The album “Nina Revisited” will be available in-stores and online starting 10 July 2015.
