Go on the road with Roadies

TV Show Trailer Cast & Crew Information Asia Release Date Plot Summary

Cameron Crowe hasn’t had the greatest last couple of years. His last monumental disaster “Aloha” should have him thrown into director jail for a long, long time. Yet he gets a 10 episode TV show on Showtime. He must’ve cashed in his “Get Out of Jail” card aka the cred from “Almost Famous” for this.

Behind the scenes he’s joined by J.J. Abrams. Make what you will of that. The cast isn’t the best either. The other Wilson brother, aka Luke, is joined by Carla Gugino. Still can’t get her “San Andreas” performance out of my mind. Maybe under the tutelage of an Oscar winning director she’ll show some restraint. Oh yes there’s also rapper Machine Gun Kelly (MGK). Just from the cast photos I can tell I’m gonna loathe his character. Hopefully there’s more Luis Guzman to even things out.

“Roadies” Plot Summary:

Created by Oscar® winner Cameron Crowe, ROADIES is an insider’s look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of “roadies,” who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way. The music-infused ensemble comedy series chronicles the rock world through the eyes of music’s unsung heroes and puts the spotlight on the backstage workers who put the show on the road while touring the United States for a successful arena-level band.
